ELF goodies

On tuesday i ordered some goodies from the ELF website, just because i hadn't really tried much in the line of make-up. I own some of their brushes and some primer, but that's about all.
Anyway, my order arrived today, though on a disappointing note, one of the things i ordered wasn't actually in the box and i've still been charged for it? but i'm sure that'll be sorted tomorrow.
I thought id share with you my purchases.
Mineral lipstick in Natural Nymph, cream eyeliner in Coffee (Studio line) and blusher in Shy (normal line)

The Lipstick is so creamy and runs over the lips like a dream, just a really nice lipstick to be wearing, and in such a beautiful colour too. (quite comparable to Barry M 101)
The eyeliner is far better than i expected. There doesn't appear to be that much in the pot when you see it from underneath, but having said that it takes me ages to empty one of these pots as i use kohl eyeliner on a day-to-day basis. However when applying this, i couldn't believe how creamy and nice it was. I decided to go for brown instead of black to see the difference in impact it had on my eyes, and i have to admit, i really like it.
The blusher is from the normal range, costing a mere £1.50. For the price, i cant really complain about the packaging, however, i still will. Its clearly cheap and flimsy and you can see underneath where the pan has been stuck to the plastic. Also, it doesn't say anywhere what the colour is, so you either need to remember or write it on it somewhere. However the blusher itself is still a pretty good purchase for the price!
The colour of the photo isn't quite true as its more rosey-pink than Bright pink.

You can buy any of these things at eyelipsface.co.uk

Nail design using a stamp?

Earlier in the year me and my sister went to New York where i done my university work placement, while we were there we done some shopping and i came home with this baby.
Its a Konad Nail art kit. The basic idea of it is to put your nail varnish onto the plate, scrape the excess varnish off with the scraper and then use the stamper to collect the actual design onto it, then stamp it onto your nail.
I havn't really used it much before now, but im just starting to play around with it and get the hang of it. Ill post some pictures later/tomorrow for you to see.
Have you seen anything like this before?/Do you have anything similar?

Barry M Nail Art.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay, the past couple of weeks have been manic. I celebrated my birthday last week and ive had a uni deadline, so its all been rush rush rush!

Anyway, about a month ago i got my hands on the Barry M "Instant Nail Effect" varnish. I didn't paint it before because my nail were still pretty damaged from the acrylics, and i didnt want the nail effect to draw attention to that. Anyway, theyre now looking and feeling stronger and healthier, so i thought id jump on the band wagon and see how this bad boy turns out. I quite like it, although this morning i managed to peel the whole nail's worth of varnish off 5 of my nails. I think i overpainted yesterday. The base coral colour is a buildable colour but wishy-washy with only one or two coats. Along with base coats, top coats and the barry m stuff, there was probably about 7 layers on. ha/

Also, since i bought it, i've been loving Models Own 'Purple Ash" I need to get hold of "Grace Green" next!

September Favourites

Hey guys, quick post to show you a few of the things i've been loving this month.
Unfortunately i've left a lot of my stuff at my boyfriends house, so that calls and end to the majority of it, but here's some of the bits i found at mine. (sorry!) Also, i haven't done one of these monthly favourites before, so i wasn't too sure what to add, but here goes anyway...

Ghost Perfume, Gosh nail varnish in "Rainbow", Barry M eye crayon in "No. 1", Mac 187 & TRESemme thermal recovery hair treatment.

Ghost isn't one of my favourite of all time perfumes, but every so often i find myself reaching for it and from that point i keep wearing it for a reasonable amount of time. I've probably had it for about a year now, (i think my sister got it for me for my birthday last year, or maybe the year before?) But i'm really enjoying wearing it.

GOSH varnish is just a glittery varnish that should probably only really be worn over other colours as it doesn't have a base to it, its just clear with lots of sparkle. This colour looks really good over browns and black. (mainly dark colours) so i've been loving that!

Barry M eye crayon is a great pencil. It can be worn as an eyeliner, or use it like a NYX jumbo eye pencil as a base for a smokey eye. Its very very creamy and looks great on the eye!

MAC 187 has been my favourite foundation brush since i got it all those months ago. I use it every time i wear foundation and is such a soft, decent brush. Its a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth the money to anyone in debate on weather or not to buy it.

TRESemme hair treatment was such a find for me. I use a lot of heat in my hair on a daily basis. I do use heat protectants, but it still doesn't completely stop your hair from getting damaged, this is so easy to use and makes my hair feel super soft. Ive been using it for about 3 weeks now and can notice a difference in the softness and shine in my hair. 10 out of 10!

Sorry on the limited amounts of things, let me know if you like these posts and if you think i should continue to do them or weather theyre a tad naff!
Have a good weekend guys! x
