What Does Steph Think: Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment

As some of you will know,  back in November i bought a few products by Lee Stafford when they were on offer in boots, i finished the hair treatment the other day, so i thought it was about time for a review.

Although i can't say that i can see my hair has grown a considerable amount, i still think its quite a good product. The smell isn't the most pleasant, but its something that i found easy to get used to, and by the time the pot was coming to and end, i didn't really notice it that much. 

the directions said that you were to use about an egg-sized amount and spread it evenly through your hair and massage into your roots. Generally i left it on for about 5 minutes or so and then washed it out to have really, really soft, tangle-free hair. It did seem to be more manageable and a healthy, so in that aspect, it definitely a plus. Although for a drugstore brand, it is priced at £7.14 for 200ml. (you can generally pick up a Tresemme one for around £5)

Would i buy it again? If it was on offer. I don't think its worth £7.

Review - Lee Stafford - Sea Salt Spray

If you're a regular to my blog, you'll know that the other day i bought some products from the Lee Stafford range, i've tried 2 of them so far and will try the last one later today, anyway, i thought i'd give the sea salt spray a quick review for you seen as i pretty much know what i want to say on it. 

Firstly, like i said i my last post, im not a huge fan of the packaging, im sure if you're a pink lover you would, but the whole range just seems too much for my liking. Secondly, i was initially happy that there were bits floating around within the bottle, it (to me) seemed like that would give the product some extra oomph! (boy was i wrong) the bits inside actually look like bits of dead skin floating around (although im sure its not)

The first thing i want to mention is what it actually says on the bottle: "this defining sea salt spray will bring out the tousled textured look you can usually only get after swimming in the sea.. until now! hair will still feel soft to touch, but with added bounce, definition and body to die for!"

Here goes... The first thing i have to mention is that i followed what it said, i washed my hair, put around 50 pumps in and left to dry. The first thing you'll notice with it is that the pump isn't a mist, it comes out more like when you have your hosepipe on "Jet" so you've constantly got to make sure you're moving it around at all times. Second thing that i hated about this product was the smell. I'm sure when you were younger you experienced what it was like to have nits? I'm not lying when i say this product smelt like the stuff your mum would put in your hair to get rid of the nits! it was absolutely hideous! No matter what you'll be doing after spraying it, you can't get rid of the smell. Another thing i didn't like was the way it looked and felt. I hate that feeling of having lots of product in my hair, and it looked and felt dirty! My boyfriend said the look of it was like when you stick your head under the shower, but don't actually wash your hair. So its still dirty, but wet. (Not a nice look!) and to be honest, the beach waves didn't really appear, it just seemed to be the same as my natural hair looks when drying, but with a lot of smelly spray in it. The only time i was impressed with the stuff, was when i tied it up, and the product held my natural waves.

For £5.99, i really don't feel that this product lived up to the hype i expected and i will never be re-purchasing it again!

I'm sure it works for some peopler, but im not one of them. Have any of you tried it before? what were your opinions on it?

Once again, no matter how poor i am, i've managed to walk into boots and find something to spend my money on! (behave, Steph!)

If you didn't already know, loads of products in Boots are back on 3 for 2, i'd read recently that the Lee Stafford Hair Treatment and Sea Salt Spray were worth investing my pennies on, so i toddled in and found them.

Now as you can clearly tell, everything is a bit, pink. I'm not really too keen on that over the top look and generally i don't even bother looking at his line of products because it looks too girly for me, but on the recommendation of a beauty blogger i thought why not?!

The first thing i looked for was the Sea Salt Spray. Apparently you're supposed to squirt about 50 pumps of this bad boy in your "towel dried" hair (so you'll probably be needing another bottle in a very short space of time) and then either blow-dry it or leave it to dry naturally. The thing i like the look of with this is that you can see the bits floating around in it. Now i know that doesn't sound too lovely, but it means its more than just any random liquid. Im hoping for good things from this bottle!

The next item i wanted to get was the hair treatment. Once again, i'd heard good things about this and wanted to see what it could do for me. I already own the Tresemme thermal recovery treatment but i only use that about once a week, and recently where i've dyed my hair, the conditioner i got to keep my colour "vibrant" makes my hair greasy. So im trying to use that as little possible..gaah.

Anyway, this one says to keep it on for about 5 mins between shampooing and conditioning. Also, it can be used from root to tip so i'm looking forward to being able to just slap it all on and see how it goes. I'm not overly keen on the smell (its at the bottom of my list for smell for a masque) and the consistency is quite runny when comparing it to other treatments i've used too. So, again we shall see. fingers crossed it helps my hair get stronger and longer though. 

Now i'm sure you'll have all heard of Dust It. The last thing i got was pretty much the same thing, but Lee Stafford's version. As i've said in previous posts, my hair is quite lifeless at the mo due to heat damage, so any extra boost i can get is mega helpful. I've used Dust It in the past and generally, i quite like it, although i havn't ever bought it before (i'm not really sure why) so when i saw this baby sat on the shelf i knew i had to have it. With a price tag of about £9 for a little pot it's not mega pricey, but its not cheap for the size, although fingers crossed that it'll last a while. Something that has annoyed me with it though is that its not properly full (none of them were) so that lets the brand down again! but most products are like that i guess.

Anyway, your supposed to rub some of this genius stuff onto your roots and watch them mattify up. I have to say i've used it once to see what its like and i'm pleasantly surprised, but we'll see!

I'll use the products for a bit and give you an proper review of them at a later date.
